Young Minds Will Compete at LOGISTECH 2025
Hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ, Logistech – the 4th Logistics, Storage, and Technologies Expo – will host a special event this year that will shed light on the logistics solutions of the future. DEKATHON 2025 – the Decarbonization in Transportation Ideathon, which will take place on the second and third days of the fair, will bring together young people’s creative ideas with leading institutions in the sector.
The Logistech Fair will open its doors at Fuar İzmir between October 8–10, 2025. Bringing together all components of the industry—from transportation to warehousing, automation to supply chain solutions—the fair will also feature DEKATHON 2025 – the Decarbonization in Transportation Ideathon, organized in cooperation with İZFAŞ and DB Tarımsal Enerji. Undergraduate and graduate students from all universities in İzmir will be able to participate in the competition. Teams of 3–5 people will work non-stop for 48 hours at the fairground to develop low-emission transportation solutions. At the end of the competition, the teams will present their projects to the jury, and the top three teams will receive awards along with support to further develop their ideas.
Contributing to the Logistics World of the Future
This year's focus topics include green ports and carbon-neutral airports, smart route and load optimization, supply chains strengthened by local resources, circular logistics applications, and carbon certification. Young participants will work to develop projects that increase energy efficiency, reduce carbon footprints, and strengthen sustainable transportation—contributing to the logistics world of the future.
Projects Are Supported
The winning teams will receive awards of 70,000, 50,000, and 30,000 TL from DB Tarımsal Enerji. The competition’s contribution will not be limited to the prize money. The winning projects will be evaluated for a full year and supported with the necessary resources to develop prototypes. In addition, the progress of these projects will be shared with the sector at the next year’s Logistech.

By highlighting not only today’s solutions but also the vision of tomorrow through DEKATHON, the Logistech Fair strengthens its claim to being a central hub that shapes the sector.
