İZFAŞ introduced the new-era vision for its fashion-focused trade fairs at the Fashion Fairs Launch event. During the event held at Fuar İzmir, the objectives, innovations, and contributions to the industry of İzmir Bridal Week, which will be organized for the first time this year, Fashion Prime – Textile, Ready-to-Wear Suppliers and Technologies Fair, which will open its doors for the ninth time, and IF Wedding Fashion İzmir – Bridal Gowns, Groom Suits and Evening Wear Fair, which is preparing to celebrate its 20th anniversary, were shared with attendees.
The launch event, hosted by İzmir Metropolitan Municipality and organized by İZFAŞ to present the new vision for its fashion fairs, brought together representatives and executives of chambers, unions, and associations, as well as industry professionals, manufacturers, and designers. Speaking at the event, İZFAŞ General Manager Tuğçe Cumalıoğlu emphasized that İzmir is one of the world’s leading centers for the bridal gown, groom suit, and evening wear industry. She stated that the city stands out internationally thanks to its strong production culture, design capacity, robust supporting industries, and export strength.
Cumalıoğlu noted that İZFAŞ does not view fairs merely as commercial events but as powerful platforms that contribute to sectoral development, pave the way for new collaborations, and showcase the city’s potential to the world. She also highlighted the importance of the three complementary fairs dedicated to the fashion industry.
A Structure Bringing Together Design, Production, and International Trade
Stating that they have created a holistic structure through fairs that respond to the different needs of the fashion industry, Cumalıoğlu said:
“To support this strong accumulation of expertise in İzmir and enhance the international competitiveness of the sector, we organize three complementary fairs. Through these three fairs, we establish a powerful structure extending from design to production and from production to international trade. With Fashion Prime, we support production infrastructure and the supply chain; with İzmir Bridal Week, we strengthen design and collection capabilities; and with IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, we support international trade and brand visibility.”
Fashion Prime to Open Its Doors for the Ninth Time
Cumalıoğlu stated that Fashion Prime Fair, which will be held for the ninth time between October 21–23 this year, will continue to bring together fabric, accessory, and supporting industry companies with sector professionals. She noted that the fair contributes to the establishment of new business connections and the strengthening of the sector’s production infrastructure.
İzmir Bridal Week to Be Held for the First Time
Cumalıoğlu explained that İzmir Bridal Week, which will be organized for the first time on November 24–26, 2026, was launched in response to demands from industry representatives. She said that the fair, where new-season bridal, groom suit, and evening wear collections will be introduced for the first time, will make the sector’s creative power more visible.
Expressing their belief that İzmir Bridal Week will create new opportunities for brands and add significant value to İzmir’s fashion calendar, Cumalıoğlu emphasized that the event will strengthen the design and collection side of the industry.
IF Wedding Fashion İzmir to Celebrate Its 20th Anniversary
Cumalıoğlu stated that IF Wedding Fashion İzmir, which will be held for the 20th time on January 19–22, 2027, will continue to serve as the international showcase of the industry. She noted that, with its 20 years of experience, the fair has introduced the production strength of İzmir and Türkiye in bridal gowns, groom suits, and evening wear to the world.
Cumalıoğlu underlined that İZFAŞ will continue to create value through its fairs, foster new collaborations, and connect İzmir’s potential with the world.
During a presentation delivered by İZFAŞ Fairs Manager Yeşim Yiğit, information was provided on the scope, objectives, promotional activities, participant support programs, and future planning of Fashion Prime, İzmir Bridal Week, and IF Wedding Fashion İzmir.
